Set of six 1960s mid-century style chairs, made of solid teak wood following designs by Niels Otto Møller. Their clean-lined design and light proportions respond to the language of mid-20th century Scandinavian modernism, with clear influences from Danish design.
They stand out for the elegant shape of the backrest, gently curved, and for their stylized and slightly tapered legs, which provide visual lightness to the set. This type of chair became popular during the 50s and 60s in dining rooms and modern domestic spaces, where the goal was to combine functionality, comfort, and a refined aesthetic. The six chairs have been restored and reupholstered.
The traces of time are part of their beauty.
The piece is preserved in good condition, having elegantly resisted the passage of time. Like any antique piece, it may show slight signs of use, patina, or small irregularities inherent to its history, features that enhance its authenticity and make it a unique object.
Measurements: each chair measures 82.5 cm from the floor to the highest part of the backrest and 49.5 cm from the floor to the seat surface, 47 cm wide x 44.5 cm deep.
