Pair of folding French garden benches, made of iron, dating from the late 19th or early 20th century. They stand out for their elegant silhouette, their scrollwork-decorated backs and armrests, and their spectacular antique patina in green tones, with traces of indigo.
This type of folding garden bench was traditionally used in gardens, terraces, porches, and conservatories. Its folding seat allows its depth to be considerably reduced for storage, and the small wheels on the back legs make it easy to move. Cushions are not included, but can be made to order (not included in the price).
*The benches are sold without cushions. Please inquire about the possibility of making custom cushions.
The marks of time are part of their beauty.
The piece is preserved in good condition, having elegantly withstood the passage of time. Like any antique piece, it may show slight signs of use, patina, or small irregularities inherent to its history, features that enhance its authenticity and make it a unique object.
Measurements of each bench: 117 cm high x 105 cm wide x 75 cm deep with the seat open. With the seat folded, it measures 11 cm deep between the backrest and the closed seat. The two fixed legs protrude to reach approximately 38 cm deep. The inside seat space, for making custom cushions, is 98 cm wide x 60.5 cm deep.
