Elegant pair of Belgian armchairs from the Directoire period (1795–1800). Made of carved and polychromed wood, they feature a refined neoclassical silhouette, with slightly curved backs, turned legs, and stylized armrests. Their delicate carved decoration is particularly striking, featuring rosettes set within diamond shapes, floral motifs, and small geometric details—characteristic elements of neoclassical taste and the Directoire period. Their original polychromy shows the passage of time and lends them a timeless appeal.

The armchairs are upholstered in toile de tapissier and can be kept as they are or reupholstered.

The marks of time are part of their beauty.
The pieces are in good condition and have elegantly withstood the passage of time. Like all antique pieces, they may show slight signs of use, patina, or minor irregularities reflecting their history—features that enhance their authenticity and make them unique.

Dimensions: each measures 84 cm from the floor to the highest point of the backrest and 41 cm from the floor to the seat surface, with a height of 56 cm, width of 50 cm, and depth of 50 cm.
