Elegant pair of Alpine landscapes painted in oil on canvas in the mid-19th century. The scenes depict views of Lake Geneva between Switzerland and France: one shows the iconic Chillon Castle, near Montreux, while the other evokes a panoramic view of the lake with Geneva and the Alps in the background.

These paintings belong to the tradition of European Romantic landscape, very popular in the 19th century, when artists sought to capture the serenity of the Alpine nature and the landscapes that fascinated travelers of the Grand Tour. This type of work was intended to decorate parlors, libraries, or bourgeois residences.

The traces of time are part of their beauty.
The piece is well preserved, having gracefully withstood the test of time. Like all antique pieces, it may show slight signs of use, patina or small irregularities typical of its history, features that enhance its authenticity and make it a unique object.

Measurements: 22 cm high x 33 cm wide x 2 cm deep.
