Pair of antique decorative elements in polychrome turned wood, with baluster columns, probably dating from the second half of the 19th century. Their baluster silhouettes and stepped bases give them a distinctive architectural character. Handcrafted, they stand out for their attractive patina in shades of blue, grey, white and dark tones, with areas of wear that reveal the original wood.
Traditionally used as finials or ornamental objects, today they work particularly well as sculptural pieces on consoles, tables or sideboards, alone or grouped at different heights.
The traces of time are part of their beauty
The pieces are in good condition, having elegantly withstood the passage of time. Like all antique pieces, they may show slight signs of use, patina or small irregularities inherent to their history, features that enhance their authenticity and make them unique objects.
Dimensions: the tall piece measures 40.5 cm high x 9.9 cm wide x 10 cm deep, and the short piece measures 28.5 cm high x 10.1 cm wide x 10 cm deep.
