Pair of antique turned and polychrome wooden decorative elements, with a gadrooned body, probably dating from the second half of the 19th century. Their baluster silhouettes and stepped bases give them a strong architectural character. Handcrafted, they stand out for their attractive patina in shades of blue, grey, white, and dark tones, with areas of wear that reveal the original wood.
Traditionally used as finials or ornamental objects, today they work especially well as sculptural pieces on consoles, tables, or sideboards, alone or grouped at different heights.
The traces of time are part of their beauty
The pieces are in good condition, having elegantly withstood the passage of time. Like all antique pieces, they may show slight signs of use, patina, or small irregularities inherent to their history, features that enhance their authenticity and make them unique objects.
